20th May 2026
PENANG, 20 May 2026 – Koperasi Khazanah Suria KL Berhad (KKSB) reaffirmed its commitment to corporate social responsibility by organising a community outreach programme to several elderly care homes in Penang on 20 May 2026, bringing joy, companionship, and support to senior citizens.
The visit included three meaningful stops: Peace and Harmony Home, Grace Harmony Home, and a special gathering with senior citizens in front of the Goddess of Mercy Temple. KKSB representatives spent time interacting with the elderly, distributing essential supplies and gifts, while creating an atmosphere filled with warmth, laughter, and meaningful conversations.
The initiative reflects KKSB's belief that supporting the community extends beyond financial services. By spending quality time with the elderly, the cooperative hopes to remind them that they remain valued members of society and that compassion is strengthened through genuine human connection.
Throughout the programme, KKSB volunteers engaged with the residents through friendly conversations, shared meals, and simple activities that brought smiles to many faces. The additional visit to the senior citizens gathered near the Goddess of Mercy Temple further extended the cooperative's outreach, ensuring that more elderly individuals could benefit from the initiative.
"Every visit is an opportunity to share kindness and make a meaningful difference in someone's day," said a KKSB representative. "We believe that even the smallest gestures of care can bring comfort and happiness to those who have contributed so much to our society."
As a cooperative committed to creating positive social impact, KKSB will continue to organise community engagement programmes that promote compassion, inclusivity, and social responsibility across Malaysia. Through these initiatives, the cooperative aims to strengthen community ties while encouraging a culture of giving back to those in need.
